Counter-Clockwise Honorable Mention

My entry is a metal crow that is chained to a stick. I was inspired by found object metal artwork and videos I found on the internet of people keeping crows as pets. I wanted to make a statement about how unhealthy domestication is for crows so I used metal and chains to connect the crow to the idea of a cage and the stick to show how crows will always be wild creatures at heart. For the metal, I used materials I had in my jewelry-making supplies, pop and monster cans that my friends gave me, old silverware that I had in my house, wire mesh, and pop tabs that I have collected over the course of two months.
